Or, let’s compare the situation to Nanking in 1937 when 500,000 Chinese civilians and disarmed soldiers were murdered by the invading Japanese savages in a matter of six weeks. 20,000 women and young girls raped then killed with bayonets. What if you and your family were trapped in Nanking in 1937 to face such violence and depredation? Your present financial problem is nothing compared to being subjected to these atrocities.
Or, let’s move on to Manila in 1945, when the Japanese were retreating and moving out of Manila because Gen. McArthur and the American forces had landed in Leyte. The Japanese were butchering all the civilians that they met in their retreat. This is the description of Manila by Frank Ephraim in his book “Escape to Manila – from Nazi tyranny to Japanese Terror”: “The view from San Andres was like a scene from Dante’s Inferno. Strewn with bloated corpses, wrecked cars, dead animals, piles of rubble, twisted metal roofing, and urban debris, … there was not a single landmark we recognized…in the lifeless broken landscape that was obscured by smoke and permeated by the stench of cordite and death.”
Look at your debts with the proper perspective. You can start fresh with no debt while keeping most if not all your assets with bankruptcy.
