On August 6, UAAYA partnered with UAAA to hold their first in-person event of 2021 at Sycamore Canyon Park: “UAAA meets UAAYA”. UAAYA and UAAA invited UAAA board members and was honored to have many special, distinguished guests attend the event to support UAAYA including Peggy Huang (Mayor of Yorba Linda), Dr. Allen Wu (Mayor Pro Tem of Walnut), Dr. Tony Torng (Vice President of the Walnut Valley School Unified District and Chairman of UAAA), Theresa Lee (Director of the Walnut Valley Water District and Chief Security Officer of UAAA), and UAAA President Carolyn An. UAAA and Mayor Huang specially presented a Certificate of Appointment to our newly elected UAAYA Officers. Then, our UAAYA Officers shared their plans for the upcoming months, their vision to expand UAAYA, and how they hope to give back to our community this year. UAAYA and UAAA celebrated this in-person event by having a potluck and gave their final wishes for a successful year!

8月6日，美国珠心算联合会(UAAA)与青少年精英团(UAAYA)一起，在 Sycamore Canyon Park 举行了2021美国珠心算联合会董事与美国珠心算联合会青少年精英团的第一次见面活动。美国珠心算联合会邀请了众多董事会成员以及许多特邀嘉宾出席本次活动：

包括 Peggy Huang（Yorba Linda 市长）、Allen Wu 博士（Walnut Pro Tem 市长）、Tony Torng 博士（ 核桃谷学校联合学区副主席兼UAAA主席）、Theresa Lee（核桃谷水区主任兼UAAA首席安全官）和UAAA会长Carolyn An.  

黄副市长特别向我们新当选的菁英团干部们颁发了任命证书。精英成员们随后分享了他们未来一年的计划、及扩展 UAAYA 的愿景，希望今年能够推广珠心算与更多的社区互动交流，宣传STEAM教育的重要性。UAAYA和UAAA 采用野餐的轻松方式，共同庆祝这一次的见面会，并承诺共同为未来的一年发展，尽最大的努力。
