親愛得學生與家長們:
美國前20名的大學三月份才放榜，但萬里教育集團的 “Superstar” 12年級生已經收到好消息!
我們一起來祝賀以下的萬里名星(Superstars):
10位進Berkeley! (這十位優秀生也被提名Berkeley Regent Scholar - 柏克萊的Honor Program)。 所以他們是被認為在世界頂名的柏克萊的精兵﹔真的是精兵內是的精兵!
1位進Vanderbilt。 Vanderbilt 的常規錄取 (Regular Decision)也是三月份才放榜，但這位同學已收到Vanderbilt的 Admission Letter。 到底是什麼回事? 她是運動員嗎? No。 我們有信心說這位同學的背景，特殊能力(Special Talent) 與她的Personal Statement 讓Vanderbilt馬上說 YES。
1位進Carleton College (前10名l的Liberal Arts學校)。 我們萬里經常建議學生申請 Early Decision/Early Decision 2。 這位同學利用這個策略，就輕鬆進了前10名的學校。真的輕鬆嗎 ? 1/15 送件﹔2/14收到好消息。短短4個星期!
20來位進UC Irvine。 UC Irvine 通常分批通知學生。我們這10來位是第一批的! 他們也被UC Irvine 認為是精兵 - UC Irvine's Honor Program。
萬里的Superstar 不限在12年級生內﹔我們有一位10級年生已經進了全美國的數一數二的Summer Debate Program - Dartmouth Debate Institute 。 進了“大貓”Summer Debate Program的學生以後通常只有一條路 -- 常春藤名校! 所以這位10級年生真的是前程萬里!
我們再一次掌聲鼓勵，祝賀以上的 Superstars!
* * * * * 如果你還沒有收到錄取消息，不要擔心。除了Berkeley/UCLA, UC學校 是從3月開始放榜。Berkeley/UCLA放榜日期是3/20 左右。常春藤會在3/26 (Super Thursday) 放榜 !

Dear Students and Parents:
While most “Big Name” Schools will release admission decision in March, many of our Superstar Students have already received great news, including:
1) 10 Berkeley Regent Scholarship Finalists (that means they have been Admitted to Berkeley already and have a great chance to become a Regent Scholar – Honor Program @ Berkeley)
2) Admission into Vanderbilt University. While Vanderbilt announces its admission decision in March, they were so impressed with this Student that they have accepted her already. Again, this is NOT Early Decision, and the Student is NOT an athlete. So this Student stood out amongst thousands who’ve applied in several weeks after application was submitted.
3) Admission into Carleton College (top 10 Liberal Arts college) for Early Decision II. One of our strategies is to apply ED/ED II. This Student listened, and in only 4 weeks after the application was submitted, he was accepted to Carleton.
4) More than 20 Acceptances to UC Irvine already. UC-Irvine sends out admission letters in waves, and they are the first wave who has been accepted by UC Irvine. These Students also have a chance to join the Honors Program at UC-Irvine.
And Great News is NOT limited to our seniors; we wish to congratulate a 10th grader, who have been accepted to Dartmouth Debate Summer Institute (the best debate summer camp in America). Many students who have attended the Dartmouth Debate program has went onto the Ivy League, so this young man has a great future ahead of him!

If you haven’t been not been notified of admission, don’t worry too much because many will come in March. The lower ranking UC’s will start to come out in early March, while Berkeley/UCLA come out around 3/20. The Ivy League and Stanford usually come out on the “last Thursday” of March. This year it’s 3/26 (also known as Super Thursday).
