FLEX Educational Consulting and Academic Services (with 17-year experience in college admissions and accumulated success stories) approach to higher education holistically. FLEX views the college admission as a process rather than isolated fixers, and perceives each student as an unique young man or woman. FLEX Individualized Academic and non-Academic Planning can start as early as 7th grade to allow time for a student to set a "realistic" goal and to "build" a comprehensive profile by college applications.  The ultimate goal is to identify the colleges that best fits the student's personality, preferences, academic performances as well as educational and career desires by 11th grade.  For example, based on assessment results, interviews and academic recorders, ccounselors begin to draft a college plan. Besides email reminders or communications, the families and FLEX Counselors, as adult mentors, can schedule counseling sessions to, for example, monitor the progress, modify course of actions, gain clarifications or seek suggestions and recommendations.
To save your time, FLEX educational seminars provide most updated information and to clarify any confusions the audience may have related to college admissions in the most efficient way possible. The next FLEX Educational Seminar "SAT vs. ACT" (on Sat 2/17 at 11 AM) is about the role standardized testing plays among other elements of your academic profile. It is always recommended that children establish strong academic skills by the end of 8th grade, and such standardized tests (SAT, ACT, SAT II Subject and AP) are to measure those skills of applicants for colleges to admit quality students. At the end of the seminar, you should be able to answer the following questions.

  • What is the role of standardized tests -- ACT and SAT -- in college admissions?
  • What content knowledge and academic skills do the SAT and ACT measure?
  • How are they scored?
  • Are SAT Subject tests still required if you take the ACT?
  • Which one should you take?

Don't Miss our Special Offer! Those who attend will have the priority to schedule a SAT, ACT, or SAT II practice test at the end of the seminar, followed by a meeting with FLEX Certificated Admission Counselor, COMPLETELY FREE.
