Dr. Chou specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, with an emphasis in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Chou—who calls orthopedics “a specialty where patients tend to recover and are motivated to recover”—became an orthopedic surgeon “to help people improve their quality of life and recover from injuries,” adding “the most important thing for me was to develop relationships with people and help them get well.” An avid reader and snow skier, Chou grew up in a large, extended family. He says patients might be surprised to learn that he “went to high school with three of my cousins.”
