美國第44任總統奧巴馬今天在華盛頓宣誓就職,美國人民和全世界一起共同見證美國233年歷史上第一位非洲裔總統宣誓就職這一歷史性時刻.他的就職正值美國人民充滿焦慮和期待,而又渴望改變並重新燃起希望的時刻,人們對奧巴瑪帶領美國戰勝當前嚴重危機並開創新局面寄以厚望.此刻也正值中美建立大使級外交關系30周年,中美關系處在承前啟後的重要時期.中美集郵中心在美國郵政總局監製及核准下,制作紀念封一枚,以資世人慶祝銘記.祝賀歐巴瑪總統就職典禮圓滿成功,並表達美國華僑華人對中美兩國的合作交流不斷發展的良好祝願。

Commemorative Cover to Celebrate the Inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States. (Washington D.C - Jan. 20, 2009)

Barack H. Obama will swear in as the 44th president of the United States today, who is the first African-American president in the country's 233-year history. It is an unforgettable historical moment of hope and pride for all people in the U.S., including all Chinese-Americans. Coincidently, Sino-U.S. relations were in an important era and the two countries marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year. The Sino-American Philatelic Center issue this cover to congratulate the inauguration ceremony of Barack Obama as New U.S. President, and express the best wishes to a more constructive and cooperative relationship between China and U.S. in the future.
