WORRIED ABOUT DEBT? DEPEND ON JESUS

People with debts problems are worried sick about their debts. Almost daily, clients tell me that they cannot sleep and very worried about their debts. They have long faces and look troubled. Sometimes, I tell them that God, my God, the God of Moses and Israel, who sent His only and beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to us, who became man through the Blessed Virgin Mary, and willingly suffered and died for us on the cross, so that we may have eternal life with Them in paradise, has blessed you and your family with good health. This seems to make them feel better.

Philippians 4:19: But my God shall supply all you need according to his richness in glory by Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthian 4:17: For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever. So, your debt problems are small and won’t last very long. And you can rely on Jesus. He will supply all you need! This is true because this is what the Bible says, and the Bible is the word of our God. We must depend on Jesus and trust in Him to solve our problems. By trusting in Jesus, you depend on the power of the Almighty, the one true God, the creator of heaven and earth. His resources and power have are limitless because He is the one True God.

The movie “Life of Pi” suggests that the one True God has different names. It states that God the Father, the Father of Jesus, is also known as Buddha or Allah, or Shiva. This is FALSE. Even Joel Osteen has said this. During his interview with Larry King, he said that he grew up in India where his father was a missionary, and the Indians, he observed, were very religious in the worship of their god, Shiva. He said that for these religious people who sincerely worshipped their god, they should also be able to go to heaven. This is FALSE. We are saved only through the blood of Jesus Christ who suffered and died for us on the cross. It is only through Jesus that we are saved. There is no other way.

How do I know this? The first commandment given by God to Moses is “I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD. YOU WILL HAVE NO OTHER gods BEFORE ME.” It’s clear that God is saying that He is the one true God. From the Bible, we know that God’s name is Yahweh. His name is not Buddha, Allah or Shiva. He sent his only Son to die for our sins. Jesus Christ, His Son, willingly shed His blood for us, so that we can enter heaven. It is the blood of Jesus that washes away our sins, that allows us to enter heaven. He can do this for us because He is the son on the one true God. This is why Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, and this is why Jesus predicted his own death on the cross and predicted that He would resurrect from the dead on the third day after his death on the cross!

Buddha did not predict his own death, and he did not resurrect from the dead because Buddha was merely a man, a very enlightened one, but only a man, nevertheless, just like you and me. But St. Peter, the disciple of Jesus, raised Tabitha from the dead, in the name of Jesus. Tabitha, who was a believer in Jesus, had fallen sick and died and her cadaver had already been washed. St. Peter knelt beside her body and prayed, and said to her “rise Tabitha”. She then rose from the dead. Our God has the power over life and death because He is the one True God, He is the Almighty.

So, depend on Jesus Christ. He loves you so that He died on the cross for you! Your present debt problems are” small and won’t last long.”
