A young, entrepreneurial family with several businesses and philanthropic interests is looking to hire a Nanny to provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which a child can develop. This busy family is constantly on the go and has multiple residences.

The existing household and family support staff work extraordinarily well together – they rely on and help each other resulting in a strong team.

The current team includes a Managing Director, Household Operations Manager, Executive and Personal Assistants, Chefs, Nannies, an Executive Housekeeper, Housekeepers, Facilities/Maintenance Staff, and Security.

The culture is one that values work completed in a manner that is thoughtful, warm, efficient and collaborative. Also, security and confidentiality are paramount.

Position Description

The ideal candidate is a career nanny with long term intent who can create and provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which a child can develop. The home environment is informal but well organized, efficient, happy!

Safety and security of children are paramount. The family favors discretion at all times as well as highly valuing confidentiality. It is important to keep their privacy honored at all times.

Parents expect all staff to be professional and friendly with their family, extended family, friends, guests, and other staff and vendors.

Schedules are subject to change both daily and hourly when the needs of the family change and as the family grows. A change in the routine schedule will be discussed in advance. Reasonable flexibility is expected in times of emergency or unplanned schedule changes.

Responsibilities & Duties

·Focus on child ( There is a house keeper, so your attention will be focusing on the needs of the child)

Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the child

· Basic Safety and Security training provided (first aid training, child and infant CPR, etc.)

· Supervise the child’s activities at all times: home play and organized play

· Support family during local visits to friends’ homes, restaurants, events and other family activities

· Plan, supervise, and maintain rest, bed and nap times

QUALIFICATIONS

· Fluent in Mandarin and English

College graduate preferred

Training in early childhood education preferred

· Execute extreme level of confidentiality

· Personality traits: gracious, kind, adaptable, flexible, emotional maturity, common sense, sense of humor, happy!

· Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision from parents and Baby Manager; self-starter

· Good communication and judgment skills

· Lots of experience with children of all ages

· Knowledgeable and proactive with developmental stages and proactive in teaching children

· Adept at working in a team environment, experience in a staffed home

· Prefer no personal cell phone use while with the kids, occasional call/text is fine

Understand importance of maintaining balance of warmth and professionalism; not overly talkative

· Firm with discipline but kind and on board with parenting philosophy(ies)

· Comfortable driving family car and children in the city and suburban areas

· Authorization to work in the U.S.

· Flexibility to travel domestically or internationally

The Schedule:

The nanny will work 5 days, have 5 days off, work 2 days, and have 2 days off on a rotating schedule. The working hours are 8AM-8/9PM.

Highly competitive salary( $110,000-$130,000 DOE plus full benefits, medical, dental, vision, etc）
