Mason & Hamlin Grand Piano
This is a Mason & Hamlin grand piano from the sought after period before Mason & Hamlin was bought by the Aeolian Piano Company. This piano has been rebuilt at some point in the past. It has just been refurbished to a high level with new key bushings, front rail bushings and action repairs and regulation.
The soundboard and bridges are structurally sound and the piano has the fat, blending sound that the best Mason & Hamlin's from this period are famous for.
The case has also been refinished with the classic, American, sprayed lacquer finish which is hand-rubbed for a sheen.
The piano is not hard to play, yet has a substantial feel. Playing this instrument feels and sounds like many semi-concert grand pianos. Mason & Hamlin employs a design which allows for more soundboard area than other pianos of their size. They are also structurally one of the most robust designs of any piano.
Finding a Mason & Hamlin from the classic years of production in this kind of condition can be a challenge. If you appreciate the sound and manufacturing of the great American pianos, this may be the ultimate piano for you.

Blüthner Art-Case Grand Piano
This is a vintage Blüthner Art-case Grand Piano that has been rebuilt perhaps in the 1990’s. It has been restored to a very high standard. It appears to have a new soundboard, pinblock, strings, hammers and other action parts. The case has also been refinished. It has been brought back to its former glory!
Blüthner is in an elite league of top-tier, hand-made German pianos. There is a unique sound to Blüthner pianos which people seek out. There are very few of these instruments available. So, when one comes along that has been restored to a high level, it is truly a treasure.
The piano is also a work of art with the hand carved woodwork. The action is responsive and plays evenly throughout all registers.
The handwork is evident in all aspects of design and production. The strings are each individually wrapped to each hitch pin instead of just looping around them. There is nothing spared in creating one of the world’s greatest pianos.
If you appreciate great European pianos, this is a very special instrument for you.

Steinway Grand Piano
This is a New York Steinway manufactured during an epic period in Steinway’s history. It is in amazing condition. The piano has benefited from the gentle California climate and a caring home. It is rare to find a piano like this which is principally original in such stellar condition. It has the original, real key tops in nearly immaculate condition. The strings are shiny and produce a vibrant tone. The hammers have excellent felt and the action weight is just right – not too heavy.
The finish, while not absolutely perfect is quite beautiful. This is an all around fine instrument for anyone who appreciates a great Steinway.

Kimball Viennese Classic Grand
This is an American made Kimball art-case grand piano. Kimball owned Bösendorfer at the time this piano was manufactured and it has the same plate design as the Bösendorfer. The good news about this piano is that it is in phenomenal condition and has barely been played.
The furniture is also in outstanding condition and looks gorgeous. Kimball was one of the biggest American piano companies in the latter part of the 20th century. They made pianos on all levels much as Yamaha and Kawai do today. The Viennese Editions were the top of the line pianos. So, this piano plays as nice as it looks – a real treasure!

Hardman Player Upright Piano
Hardman was a high quality American manufacturer going back to the 1850’s through the 1980’s. This piano represents the tail end of a type of piano that was ubiquitous in homes for much of the early 20th century. Player pianos were the original de facto home entertainment system!
First there is the piano itself – a high quality, hand-made instrument with 5 massive back posts supporting the soundboard which is in phenomenal condition. The piano shows only moderate wear and plays well enough for a serious student. More than that, the high quality materials and workmanship are on a level unavailable in the many Asian production pianos found in stores today.
The player system works very well. It also has a lever which engages the Ukelano effect which makes the piano sound like a Ukelele! The piano comes with dozens of piano rolls to enjoy. You can operate the player by pumping the pedals which come out of a sliding door above the standard piano pedals. Or, you can turn a switch and have the player operate by itself. (It plugs in the wall.)
The finish is also a fine lacquer finish (not the polyester finishes found on Asian pianos). If you appreciate the sound and touch of high quality American pianos and would like to have a player piano for your family to enjoy, you will get great utility and enjoyment from this piano.
The player is in excellent condition and has just been refurbished by one of the few remaining player piano experts in the U.S. This is a piano you can enjoy as a musical instrument and as a fun piece of musical technology from a bygone era.
