Piano Lesson - How to Breathe While Playing The Piano
We can all understand that breathing is required to live but it has a great deal to do with performing music as well. Today we are going to discuss a couple of components of how breathing can positively and negatively affect your performances.
This piano was manufactured by Young Chang in Korea for PianoDisc in Sacramento, California. It has a factory installed player system by PianoDisc which works great! The piano has had very light wear and the finish is also in very good condition. The piano is regulated and voiced to play with a warm sound and play evenly throughout all registers.
Young Chang is one of the largest and oldest Asian piano companies in the world. It has an all wood action unlike so many Asian production pianos which have resorted to plastic parts in their pianos. It features front and rear duplex scaling which enhances the tone life by allowing the non-speaking length of the stings to sympathetically vibrate. So, you can enjoy a singing sound that resonates.
It’s hard to find a piano that has minimal wear like this piano. But it is extremely rare to encounter a used piano with an ivory finish in such good condition. If you are looking for a piano like this, you will love this piano.
This is a Mason & Hamlin grand piano from the sought after period before Mason & Hamlin was bought by the Aeolian Piano Company. This piano has been rebuilt at some point in the past. It has just been refurbished to a high level with new key bushings, front rail bushings and action repairs and regulation.
The soundboard and bridges are structurally sound and the piano has the fat, blending sound that the best Mason & Hamlins from this period are famous for.
The case has also been refinished with the classic, American, sprayed lacquer finish which is hand-rubbed for a sheen.
The piano is not hard to play, yet has a substantial feel. Playing this instrument feels and sounds like many semi-concert grand pianos. Mason & Hamlin employs a design which allows for more soundboard area than other pianos of their size. They are also structurally one of the most robust designs of any piano.
Finding a Mason & Hamlin from the classic years of production in this kind of condition can be a challenge. If you appreciate the sound and manufacturing of the great American pianos, this may be the ultimate piano for you.
This is a late model, art-case Kawai baby grand in excellent condition. It shows minimal wear and has been regulated, voiced and tuned to play on a high level. It features duplex scaling for enhanced tone. It also has a slow close fallboard to protect little fingers!
Kawai is the 2nd largest piano manufacturer in the world and has been making pianos for almost 100 years. They are noted for having a somewhat warmer tone than Yamaha pianos and are a highly regarded piano manufacturer.
This piano was manufactured in Japan where their best pianos are made. If you are after a nice baby grand with distinctive styling in like new condition, here is the perfect piano for you.
