How to Choose Healthy Weight Loss Plan?

Here are the criteria:

* The plan should allow at least 1000 calories per day (unless the meal plan is prescribed by the physician or registered dietitian.)

* Target weight loss no more than two pounds per week.

* Balanced nutrition - calorie distribution: carbohydrates (55-65%), fat (20-30%) and protein (12-15%), with adequate intake of other nutrients.

* The plan should allow you to choose a variety of foods, including commercially prepared food or home-made food.

* The diet plan and exercise should be guided by qualified professionals.

* The plan should help with establishing healthy eating habits.

* The plan should include tracking system and follow-up consultations.

* Pricing should be reasonable.

* The weight loss plan should include appropriate exercise and behavior modifications components.

* Remember, weight loss has no shortcuts.
