15 Minutes of Exercise a Day can Extend Life by Three Years!

We all know that exercise is important for weight loss, and to maintain a healthy heart and body.

The general recommendation is 30 mintues daily. However, a recent large scaled study from Taiwan, led by Wen and colleagues, who published their findings in a medical journal, The Lancet, tracked over 416,000 participants for 13 years, reported that people who engaged in 15 minutes of moderate physical activity every day lived three years longer than those who didn't exercise. Daily exercise was also linked to a lower incidence of cancer, and appeared to reduce cancer-related deaths in one person in ten.

Moderate physical activity means brisk walking, swimming, stair climbing, aerobic dancing.

If you cannot spare the 30 minutes to exercise before, why not starting at 15 minutes a day and get the benefits now!

我們都知道運動不僅是維持健康體重的要素,更能保持身體及心臟的健康。

一般建議的運動量為每天30分鐘。不過,最近刊登於醫學雜誌上的研究卻顯示減少了運動時間也能保持身心的健康。這大規模研究於台灣進行,他們用13年的時間記錄了超過416,000個參加者的生活習慣,結果發現人只要每天有15分鐘中等量的運動,壽命比其他沒有運動的人多3年。每天有適度運動的人癌症的發病率也比較低,並且在十個人當中,有一個人會減少與癌症相關的死亡率。

中等量運動包括快步走,游泳,爬樓梯,有氧舞蹈。

如果你以前總是不能抽出30分鐘來運動,何不從現在開始每天做15分鐘的運動,從而得到運動帶給我們的好處!
