Fellowship-trained in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery, Dr. Chao personally has performed thousands of cataract, LASIK, lens implant, and corneal refractive procedures putting him in a category of the few eye surgeons who can manage complex eye care outside a university setting.
Dr. Lawrence C. Chao held numerous clinical faculty positions at University of California Irvine including Clinical Instructor, Director of Refractive Surgery at the Beckman Laser Institute, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, and Medical Director of the Gottschalk Eye Clinic prior to establishing Chao Vision Institute.
