Dr. Byunghee “Kevin” Kim was born and raised in Busan, Korea, and his family moved to San Francisco, CA in 1993 seeking higher education. Dr. Kim graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton with a major in biology and minor in applied mathematics. He continued his education at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA, where he completed medical school with honors bestowed by the Pi Delta National Honor Society. He is board qualified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery.
Dr. Kim finished his surgical education at Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto. This residency program involved hands-on training at Stanford Medical Center, Kaiser Medical Foundation and various private offices and surgical centers around the Bay Area. He also completed a fellowship specializing in trauma, reconstructive foot and diabetic limb salvage/preservation at The University of Louisville, one of only a handful of such programs offered in the nation. He also served as Wound care director at the University of Louisville Hospital from 2014 to 2015.
